THIS IS THE DAY
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalms 118:24). Do we take advantage of every day? The Psalmist declared, “This is the day which the Lord hath made….” God has given us another day. Not a day to whine, gripe or complain but a day to rejoice.
A website recently listed “Seven Ways To Have An amazing Day” Here they are:
One, Try New Things. So many times we let fear get in our way of trying something different. Luke 5:4
Two, Keep Learning. Read your Bible, read a commentary, read a good book. Take a class. Come to Bible School. 2 Tim. 2:15
Three, Be Kind. Read Ephesians 4:32.
Four, Stay Productive. Don’t become a couch potato. 1 Cor. 15:58.
Five, Avoid “Success Killers”. We waste time. “At the end of the day today, look back at everything you did and see if there were a couple of activities that did nothing to make you happier or more successful.” “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:16).
Six, Look For Ways To Serve. Remember that Jesus said, “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Observe this quote, “I think that a lot of our non-clinical depression and self-esteem issues can be solved by going out every day and finding someone to serve. It may be just a smile and a ‘hello’, it may be helping them with their work, it may be just a phone call to tell them ‘thank you for being a friend.’ When we serve other people, we develop personal joy.”
Seven, Find A Purpose. For the Christian that purpose is twofold: Going to heaven and taking someone with us.
