“THE PRINCE DIED/THE PRINCE OF PEACE LIVES”
“Prince Rogers Nelson was an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and actor. Prince was renowned as an innovator and was widely known for his eclectic work, flamboyant stage presence and vocal range.” He died at his home in Minnesota at age 57. He sold 100 million records and won several Grammy Awards. The world is lauding the accomplishments of this man. He died, but what about his soul? Elvis Presley died, but what about his soul? Michael Jackson died, but what about his soul? Frank Sinatra died, but what about his soul?
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isa. 9:6). The Prince of Peace died but “He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear’ (Acts 2:31-33).
Yes, The Prince of Peace lives, and so can we, because he does.
