Some Things Christ Saw In The Lives Of People
He saw the selfishness in the life of Herod (Mt.2). Herod wanted to kill the small children to protect his own interest. Christ was unselfish (Mt.20:28), as was the Good Samaritan (Lk.10:30-37). Paul was not self-centered (Phil.3:4-8). Christianity demands unselfishness (Mt.22:39; Phil.2:4). This is still a problem in the world today.
Carelessness was shown in the lives of his own foster father and mother who left him in Jerusalem (Lk.2:41-52). Jesus saw inappreciation in the lives of his neighbors (Mt.13:53-58). Christ saw insincerity in the lives of his professed followers (Jn.6:26). They were following because of the bread and loaves. Betrayal of Judas was seen by Jesus Christ (Mt.26:14-16, 47-50).
Many today betray Jesus for money, popularity, and the pleasures of sin. Jesus saw ungratefulness in the lives of the nine lepers who had been healed (Lk.17:11-19). Many today are not grateful, and think that everything is coming to them (Col.2:7). Is Christ still seeing these things in our lives?
