Let’s Get Excited!!!
A young man expressed this thought in a dismissal prayer one Sunday evening; “Lord help us to get excited about our cause!” If there is anything Christians need… it is enthusiasm for Christ, His Church, and sharing the Good News.
Why shouldn’t we get excited about Christianity? We are fanatics over football games and other sporting events. We are excited about new births into our family. So why aren’t we “excited about our cause”… the Lord’s Cause?
Our Lord threatened to spew the lukewarm Laodiceans out of His mouth (Rev. 3:15-16). Paul said we are to be “Fervent in spirit; serving the Lord” (Rom. 12:11). Peter said, “Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance” 2 Peter 3:1. We need to be stirred up and get excited about being a Christian and our Lord’s work!
