It’ll All Work Out

“It’ll All Work Out”

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Rom. 8:28). Problems! Problems! Decision! Decisions! Every day we’re faced with making the right decision and on other days trying to solve a family or financial problem. Folks wish for miracles, but that isn’t going to happen (1 Cor. 13:8-10). So, how will it work out? There are three things that we must do for it to work out.

One, PRAY constantly. Pray! Pray again! Scripture teaches us to “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17). Scriptures teaches us “…Continuing instant in prayer” (Rom. 12:12); scriptures teaches us that…”The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (Jam. 5:16); scripture teaches us to ask for wisdom (Jam.1:5). There are a host of passages that teach us that God hears our prayers. Peter wrote this, “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil (1 Pet. 3:12). While we are praying, God is working (Acts 12:1-16). It’ll work out!

Second we must PERFORM our duties. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). While we pray, we must also seek His face and turn from wickedness. Many folks say, “Oh, I pray.” But they don’t worship regularly; they never attend a gospel meeting or Wednesday Bible study. While we pray we must also work in God’s vineyard. In the Ephesian letter, Paul instructed us to put on the whole armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18). Notice that he said, “Ephesians 6:18, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Eph. 6:18). Not only did he say to pray, but he also said “watch.” While we are praying we need to seek, we need to turn from wickedness and we need to watch. If we don’t perform in God’s kingdom we may just be heard for our much speaking (Mt. 6:7). It’ll work out!

Third, we must PATIENTLY let God’s PROVIDENCE work. “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isa. 40:31). The Psalmist said this, “Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it]” (Ps. 37:34). “I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope” (Ps. 130:5). You know, it took awhile for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham. It’ll work out!

Yes, pray, keep working and wait and it will work out!
