We often watch movies or read books in which the characters are seeking for a buried treasure or something of great value. In today’s world, people are looking in upsizing their houses, having more money, getting newer, better cars, gaining a more prominent position within a business. Worldly gain is all they look for since they want to have a good life, without any interest in their soul. Having good things is well, but there needs to be proper priorities set, as well. A person’s soul is one’s most valuable possession (Mt.16:26). Christ says, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Mt.6:19-21). “Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth” (Col.3:2).
