I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY
Do you like singing, “I Love to Tell the Story”? For some this song is easy to sing but hard to practice. We have no problem in telling others about family, pets, favorite eating places, trips, cars, and a host of other things. But we hesitate to tell them about Christ, the one closest to our heart.
Some of us might have answers like “I’m shy” or “I’m afraid I might offend someone.” When we can admit these fears to the Lord, He can give the love and confidence we ask for. And when we pray for the people we are wishing to “tell the story to,” God opens a way for us to speak.
His arrangement may not be ours—sometimes they are fast or slow in coming. But God is at work. He loves our friends more deeply and thoroughly then we do. And He cares about our own heart as well. He rejoices when we tell the story.
It is His story. It is his power that draws hearts to him. It is His promise that He will give us words, opportunity and love. We love to tell the story!
