Clearance Shopping
Many people may go into certain stores and look for the signs that have “Clearance” written on it with hopes of getting a better deal on certain things, on things that may not be in the best condition, or just not sold over a time.
In some people’s lives, they go into religion looking for things that may not be perfect and not willing to pay the price for better things. Christ paid the price for better things for the Christian (Heb.8:6). Christians pay the price of: good works (I Cor.15:58; Tit.2:14) and faithfulness in our lives to Christ and to the Word (Lk.16:10; II Tim.2:2).
Churches cannot go on clearance shopping for new teaching that may be against Christ because of what looks like a better deal for getting members. All are to be willing to pay in life of living as a Christian to obtain heaven (Rev.2:10; II Tim.2:10).
