Our hearts were made to rejoice Sunday when Keyayang Wallace responded to the invitation and confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized. When she responded she gave me a list of things of which she was repenting. What a commendable attitude. Keyayang has three children: Jalun (9), Jakwon (6) and Kommon (3). NEW BIBLE SCHOOL YEAR

BEGINS SEPTEMBER 5, 2010

          A “New Converts Class” will begin on Sunday, Sept. 5^th and will meet in the kitchen. Bro. Eddie Cox will be teaching this class. Bro. Eddie is in the process of contacting those who would be in the class. If you have been baptized since Jan. 1, 2009 see Bro. Eddie.

BACK PACK PROGRAM

          The Lithia Springs congregation was of great help to our local people after the flood. There were many children that we gave back packs to who attend Lithia Springs Elementary. We also gave a lot of food to those children as well. The school has asked for our help. They have asked us to help ten students throughout the school year who need food to carry home on the weekends. Were it not for this help they very likely would have nothing to eat. The elders have agreed to help. We will be giving you details very soon as this will need to begin the week of August 30^th.

          This is just another of the wonderful benevolent works this congregation engages in. We are helping Raintree Village when their truck comes in September. Also GA Agape has asked us again to participate in their Change for Children program. Lithia Springs is a generous congregation.

FALL MEETING, SPETEMBER 24-26, 2010 WITH GARY HAMPTON

        Hopefully all of our members have begun to make your plans to be here on Friday night to give our meeting a good beginning. Bro. Gary Hampton is the Director of The East Tennessee School of Preaching in Knoxville, TN and will be a blessing to this congregation. Invite others. We will not be disappointed in the messages so let’s not be disappointed in our attendance. Cancel everything that would interfere. Tell your boss you are leaving early; tell your friends you will go out to eat after service.
